WORLD FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHER SNAPS UP PUNK
11th February 2010
PUNK had the pleasure of meeting legendary photographer, Philip Townsend last week. What an amazing man, with some amazing stories to tell.
From Grace Kelly to Elizabeth Taylor, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Twiggy – Philip has captured the lot in the most magical of moments; The Beatles first ever meeting with the Maharishi, Elizabeth Taylor having what looks like a very heated discussion with an estranged Richard Burton, Marlon Brando having a dance with Princess Alexandra, the first ever picture of a newly formed The Rolling Stones…everything around us faded in to the obscurity as we lost ourselves in his portfolio of history in the making. Seeing such iconic images of some of the worlds greats sparked an instant excitement within the PUNK team.
Philip Townsend has snapped PUNK up to manage the international press office around activity including the launch of a new northern venture, world-wide exhibitions and book launches – firstly of his unique ‘sixties’ archive.
PUNK will be handling the media on an international level, through traditional PR and social media, taking Philip and his work to a new and wider audience. Philip is an extraordinary man, with immense talent and an incredible background – to re-introduce him and his work to the world is an honour.
