THE WINNER IS SHOWTEK, SHOWTEK, SHOWTEK AND…SHOWTEK!
19th March 2010
2010 is already looking more than momentous for PUNK’s ‘WORLDS NUMBER ONE HARD DANCE ACT’ client, SHOWTEK. Seeing off competition from all the biggest names in hard dance today, Showtek picked up FOUR awards at the prestigious UK HARD DANCE 2010 AWARDS, which took place at the sold out Atomik Weekender in Prestatyn on 6th March.
Showtek has been crowned ‘BEST EUROPEAN DJ’ and ‘BEST EUROPEAN PRODUCER’, as well as their globally acclaimed recent album ‘Analogue Players in a Digital World’ being voted ‘BEST ARTIST ALBUM’. Showtek’s infamous track, ‘World is Mine’ was titled ‘BEST TRACK’, this being a record breaking third consecutive year they have won this award. To round all of this off nicely, ‘Goodgreef Xtra Hard’ won ‘BEST COMPILATION’, of which one CD was mixed by none other than Showtek.
The Eindhoven based act, consisting of brothers, Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen has stunned audiences all over the world with a combination of jaw dropping DJ performances, a very unique sound and superb production, churning out massive hit after hit – a big highlight being their remix of Ferry Corsten’s trance classic, ‘Out Of The Blue’, showcasing their versatility and diversity – a winning formula that has led to world domination in the hard dance scene.
Currently on a world tour that has so far taken Showtek to all corners of the globe, including Asia, Canada, USA, Europe and Australia, the brothers commented; “It’s absolutely amazing to win four Hard Dance Awards and be part of a fifth. We have worked really hard in the studio to compile our latest album and to receive such recognition is fantastic, especially as these awards are voted for by the clubbers – the people that really count.”
To thank the voters for all their support Showtek is giving away a free track called ‘Expansion’ – downloadable now from http://www.trackitdown.net/showtek using the following voucher code: SHOWTEK-22RKDUBZX2, and the brothers are launching a competition in conjunction with energy drink, ‘Go Fast’, to win an all expenses paid night out with the boys to Coloursfest, Scotland in June.
